Burton (S) the Dog needs a home

Please fill out our short application - the link is below - we are FAST! Our applications are usually processed in less than 7 days but we have done one in less than 8 hours!!

Meet Burton!  He has a face you can fall for.  He is a big, loving bear at 94 pounds!  He is full-grown now, having been born around 01/20/2016.

Burton is very affectionate.  He likes to be near his people, and is friendly with everyone.  He loves hugs, nose kisses, and he is eager to give you his Pyr paw – he’ll sit and give you both paws!

He is really cute and goofy.  You’ll love watching him running, jumping, and playing.  He loves his toys!  As with most Pyrs, his energy comes in small bursts, then it’s cuddle time!

His ideal home will have lots of room for him to romp and play inside and outside.  He is very athletic, and will require a sturdy wooden fence.  He’ll climb right over a chain link fence!

In his foster home, he plays happily and shares his toys nicely with the dogs that are about half his size; soon he will be introduced to the 20-pounders and the 100-pounders, so we’ll see how he gets along with all sizes!

He could also be fine as an only dog as long as he gets lots of time and interaction with his humans.  He is also good with cats!

Because he can be super goofy and playful sometimes, it will be best if he is not placed in a home with really young children – we don’t want them getting accidentally pushed to the ground or scratched with his gigantic paw.

This boy is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained.  He rides very nicely in a car.  He’s not much of a barker – only when really necessary.

All of our dogs require secure and VISIBLE fencing.

Adoption Fee: $275

* Note to NW Adopters: The adoption fee does not include the cost of transport.

There are many things YOU can do to help us:

1. Adopt! If this Gentle Giant looks like the one for you, fill out an adoption application today!

2. Foster! This is a temporary commitment that gives all dogs in need the assured time to find the loving home they deserve. Your benevolent decision to foster unquestionably determines whether a loving dog gets to live or die.

3. Donate! Safeguarding these Gentle Giants result in expenses that are in upwards $8/day. If veterinary care is needed, the costs exponentiate to $1,000+ for a single dog. Every penny you donate makes an impact when it comes to vet bills! If you were to make a one-time donation of just $25, you would be adding 3 more valuable days to the life of every rescued dog and provide the chance to find the home they have been waiting for their entire life.

As always, all donations are gratefully accepted.
